Blogging and Boomer Thoughts

You are probably wondering, “What are boomer thoughts? Well, for me it is all that happens in the life of a baby boomer. Those are the things that many of us blog about.

One of the great things about blogging is that it provides a voice for many of us who sometimes feel that no one is listening in our immediate circles. Some of the thoughts include:

  • Caregiving
  • Pension
  • Retirement options
  • Retirement issues
  • Purpose driven work
  • Work to add to retirement
  • Grand children and related joys and issues
  • Children and related joys and issues
  • Grief from loved ones missing in our lives
  • Mates
  • Making money online and offline
  • Health, health, health
  • Collections
  • Music
  • Art
  • Hobbies
  • Dating
  • Life after Divorce
  • Oh, did I already say caregiving?

Now I did not include everything. You can add more. But are you blogging about any of these things? Please share what is on your mind that you are blogging about.  I know it is one of the reasons some of you have more than one blog.

I love blogging, maybe because I’ve discovered that people are actually interested in what I write. I have 3 blogs, one on reading writing and fantasy novels, one on happy honking – helping you be happy and the Teacher’s T-party designed to help teachers stay sane. I’m not really sure which of your categories I fit into, I guess my primary thrust is practical advice for dealing with life and being happy. There are links to them all on my Happy Honkers site if you’re interested.

I’d like to find more education orientated sites that are a bit more personal than the ones offering teachers resources and stuff.

Blogging is, in my opinion, all about expressing your passion and purpose.

I love to write a blog and I love to have my own blog site. I am writing articles for my blog if ever I have to launch my own. Just love to open sites like this, you are bold enough to say you got more that one blog and I admire you for that. You are not really afraid to push through with your dreams.

Though a lot of people go into blogging in order to earn some money, it is amazing that a lot of bloggers post in order to connect and share their thoughts to others. I find it really comforting to read blogs that tells a lot about a blogger. It feels great to know that a lot of people can relate.

I blog to make the internet a kinder and gentler place for Baby Boomers, but I also like to take down Gen Xers who think we’re a bunch of idiots. Example:
